A MULTIMEDIA HISTORY OF HORROR

horror goes on tour
Before conventions were the craze for genre fans around the world, FANGORIA was the innovative force in bringing together multiple elements of the horror industry under one roof. Furthermore, horror was hitting the streets and going on tour beginning in 1985 when FANGORIA’s Weekend of Terror was born. For the first time, those who worked in the horror industry, and those who supported the industry were able to come together to buy, sell, trade, and fan out with the best of them.
"If you went to a horror convention it was a FANGORIA convention, we owned the marketplace, we did them for decades, we set the standards. Ever horror convention you see today is copying the template that we were doing at the FANGORIA convention since 1985 that they all criticized and knocked, are all doing the same thing.”

"I would still like to do one big final FANGORIA show, the biggest convention ever. I'd also like to write a book about the convention days and the experiences we used to have.”
